“I am always excited to see how contact lenses can help children with eye conditions accomplish things that have traditionally been considered impossible!”
Dr. Jennifer Fogt
Chief, Kids Contact Lens
The Kids Contact Lens Clinic at The Ohio State University College of Optometry is a special place dedicated to helping kids who wish to wear contact lenses, and to treat those infants and children who have medical needs that make contact lenses necessary!
Dr. Jenny Fogt has been fitting kids in contact lenses for over 15 years. Dr. Fogt enjoys fitting all kinds of children, from infants born with congenital cataracts to young dancers and athletes who feel that glasses are preventing them from doing their best.
Children require special attention when wearing contact lenses. Dr. Fogt will work with infants and parents to make sure everyone is comfortable with how to care for the little eyes and the new lenses that will save their vision!
Young kids are amazingly capable of caring for their own contact lenses at a very young age. Kids often need a longer learning session with a lot of encouragement in order to learn to successfully insert and remove their own contacts. Dr. Fogt has tons of experience in getting kids ready for contact lens success!
